Topamax ruined my life. Caused epilepsy, took my career (nursing) Forgetfulness, pain/ numbness in hands and feet. Tons more symptoms that were unbearable. Totally loose train of thought/ words when speaking. I look like an uneducated fool when that happens. I started Topamax just over 2 years ago to help with migraines. It induced mania and severe depression with my bipolar disorder. It put me into a state of severe psychosis. I also experienced several other side effects like memory loss, slowing of mental and physical activity, rapid eye movements in the morning, blurred vision for the rest of the day, rapid weight loss, clumsiness (I would randomly fall over, drop things unexpectedly, running into things), memory issues and daily brain fog, repeated outburst to loved ones, and over-sensitivity to things people said to me (not my norm). I stopped taking the drug about a month ago and most of my symptoms have started to fade

my husband had a carotid artery dissection and was on topomax for years … after being on the medication for about 6 years — it literally drove him to be a different person …. he had mood swings, began getting migraines, had memory loss, weight loss, depression …. this drug is HORRID!
